In this follow-up course to table-saw 101, we will begin to put the eight basic cuts to work. Demonstration and practice making rabbits, lap joints, dados and tenons. Learn spindle turning on the lathe by making a small pepper grinder. This project will introduce roughing a blank round, turning coves and beads as well as sanding on the lathe. To finish up, students will learn to apply simple friction polish finishes.

In this follow-on course to Beginning Finishing, we will explore the process of applying colored stains and dyes to wood.
